Precast Concrete Fabrication Piece Ticket Checker
(3+ Years Experience)
We are seeking a highly experienced Precast Concrete Fabrication Piece Ticket Checker to join our diverse team of dedicated and motivated professionals here in our main office in Naperville, IL. This position is responsible for the final quality control process before piece tickets are sent to our precast concrete fabrication clients. The ideal candidate must have experience checking piece tickets for precast concrete fabrication, must be efficient and extremely detailed-oriented, and must be an organized self-starter who needs little supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Work directly with Precast Manager and Detailers.
-
Review all precast fabrication piece tickets to identify all errors that were made or overlooked during the detailing, annotation, or ticket extraction process.
-
Ensure precast detailing models and extracted fabrication piece tickets align with isometric drawings, specifications, and requirements from each precast fabrication client.
-
Ensure that all piece tickets, models, and drawings meet our company's standard details, code requirements, and standard BIM practices in coordination with the Department Manager, Project Lead Engineers, and our team of Tekla Precast Detailers.

Return piece tickets, models, or drawings that don’t pass checks to the assigned team for edits.
-
Send fabrication piece tickets that pass checks to the Department Manager for final review and delivery to clients.

Ensure that the QA-QC process and the steady flow of deliverables is accurate and on time.

Comply with any and all other requests as made by other team members or managers.

Commute to main office multiple times a week.

Qualifications:
-
Must have 3+ years of work experience in Precast Concrete Fabrication Piece Ticket Checking, but 5+ years of experience is preferred.
-
Must be willing to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
-
Must be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions. We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.

Any experience with Trimble’s Tekla Structures software is a plus, but 2+ years of experience with the software is preferred.

A degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) is a plus.

Experience with C# coding is a plus.

Experience reading blueprints is a plus.

Experience with drafting in AutoCAD is a plus.
-
Experience with advanced functions in Microsoft Excel is a plus.

Experience with advanced functions in Bluebeam and/or Adobe is a plus.

Precast Engineer I
(0-4 Years Experience)
We are seeking a Structural Engineer in Training with 0 to 4 years of experience to join the diverse team of dedicated and motivated professionals in our Precast Department in Naperville, IL. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to efficiency.
Responsibilities:

Work directly with Precast Manager and Detailers.

Assure all engineering work performed adheres to good engineering practice.

Use knowledge, judgement and technical capabilities in the design and evaluation of projects.

Visit project work sites as needed.
-
Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.

Anticipate information needed for projects and take the necessary action to obtain it.

Consult with other engineers, clients, etc., as necessary throughout the life of the project.

Effectively handle complex structural design and efficiently utilize company resources to complete projects.
-
Coordinate and assume responsibility for all work done under their direction.

Complete work on time and within the allotted budget.

Qualifications:

Must possess at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Design.

Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Structural Engineering.

Must have a strong professional interest or experience in Precast Concrete.

Must have basic knowledge with engineering software programs such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, Excel, etc. and basic knowledge with AutoCAD. Familiarity or experience with Tekla Structures software is a plus.

Must be familiar with AISC, ACI, ASCE, NDS, and Building Codes.

Must be willing to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of experience in Structural Design Engineering and are self-motivated individuals who are detailed-oriented, committed to efficiency, and capable of managing a project with minimal oversight from proposal phase to completion.

Work directly with Senior Project Engineers and Executives.

Assure all engineering work performed adheres to good engineering practice.

Use knowledge, judgement and technical capabilities in the design and evaluation of projects.

Manage Projects from Marketing phase to Submission date.

Visit project work sites as needed.

Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.

Anticipate information needed for projects and taking the necessary action to obtain it.

Consult with other engineers, clients, etc., as necessary throughout the life of the project.

Effectively handle complex structural design and efficiently utilize company resources to complete projects.

Supervise team members to ensure proper quality and communication of project requirements.

Coordinate and assume responsibility for all work done under their direction.

Perform Marketing to targeted Clients to build work.
