LAX Automated People Mover

The LAX Automated People Mover is an elevated train system between the Los Angeles International Airport and five different stations including the LA Metro Rail.

Our client, CMF Inc, was awarded a contract to fabricate and install 312,000 SF of aluminum EVO Plate panels on the interior and exterior of all five stations, 61,000 SF of custom plate column enclosures, and 390,000 SF of metal ceiling and soffit panels architecturally designed by Specified Design Systems. We provided CMF with all the structural design calculations to ensure all panels, secondary support framing, and fasteners were adequate and safe to install per the shop drawings in accordance with all governing building code. We provided all final documents with seal for permit approval prior to fabrication and construction in order to make the beautiful custom cladding of the LAX Automated People Mover stations a reality. We are proud of our structural design work for CMF.
