STRUCTURAL ENGINEER I

Structural Enginuity, Inc. is seeking a qualified and ambitious entry level structural engineer to join our team of dedicated and motivated professionals. We are a structural engineering company with projects in many aspects of Engineering including, but not limited to, Solar Systems, Precast Concrete, Sound Walls, Commercial and Industrial Buildings, and Utility Civil Plans.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Engineer will work directly with Senior Project Engineers and Executives.
2. Assuring all engineering work performed adheres to good engineering practice.
3. Consulting with other engineers, clients, etc, as necessary throughout the life of the project.
4. Effectively handle complex civil design and efficiently utilize company resources to complete projects.
5. Coordinate, supervise and assume responsibility for all work done under their direction.
6. Anticipating information needed for projects and taking the necessary action to obtain it.
7. Completing work on time and within the allotted budget.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, executive, and the public.
9. Field Work as needed.
10. Experience developing civil plans for Utility work, experience with submitting permit plans to the City of Chicago.

Requirements/Experience:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Must have basic knowlegde in programs such as AutoCAD/ProgeCAD, RISA Software, RAM Steel, LEC Wall, LEC Beam and other Engineering Tools. Must be familiar with AISC, ACI and ASCE codes. Must be willing to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed.

DESIGNER/DRAFTER

Structural Enginuity, Inc. is seeking a qualified Drafter to join our team of dedicated and motivated professionals. Drafter will use software to develop construction documents and shop drawings for Precast Building projects. In addition, may be involved with architectural projects and construction hoists work to provide framing layouts, sections and details in compiling a full drawing submittal package. We are a structural engineering company with projects in many aspects of Engineering including, but not limited to, Solar Systems, Precast Concrete, Commercial and Industrial Buildings and Utility Civil Plans. Drafter will work under the supervision of other Engineers and Project Managers.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Design and prepare plans using computer-aided design and drafting software.
2. Produce effective product designs by using understanding of engineering techniques.
3. Specify dimensions, material, and procedures for new projects or products.
4. Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate into drawings and schematics.
5. Assist in file management including, scanning, plotting, updating project drawing lists and general drawing management.

Requirements/Experience:
Must be proficient in drafting software and have 1-2 + years of experience in the drafting field and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or related field required. Program knowledge of Tekla, StructureWorks, Revit, and/or SolidWorks, a plus.

Must be willing to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
